Manangatang Legend Boots Five Goals!

Wednesday 2 July 2008

Local Manangatang legend, Jarrod Arentz rose to the occasion last night, kicking five goals for the Big V in the 2008 EJ Whitten Legends Game. Arentz won the chance to play in the game as part of our 'Play in the Game' feature and certainly did the Vics proud with a solid performance on and off the field!

With over 250 games and 1642 goals to his name, Arentz never looked out of place, moving well across the ground and putting in some handy assists with another guest player, Andy Lee.

While the busload from Manangatang weren't able to make it to the post-game function, Arentz had a great time catching up with all the players after the game.

Shane Brown, our WA winner of 'Play in the Game' put in a superb performance for the All Stars and by all accounts had a great night. One face would have been familiar at least. Shane plays in the same league as Dale Kickett.

Brown plays for the Melville Amateur Football Club and boasts a football career of over 400 games, playing and coaching in nine Grand Finals and winning the Leading Goal Scorer for North Fremantle.
